I am by no means a ballistics expert but I am learning. I know guns are designed around certain bullets, .357, the 158 gr., the .44, the 240 gr. I know they will shoot lighter and heavier bullets, but certain weights just perform better. Without reaching a point of diminishing return what is the best, or optimum weight for my .454? I know there is not "do it all" bullet for any gun but I am looking for a load for elk size game and up to a small grizzly. I am thinking a 325 gr. hard cast, but as mentioned I am not a ballistics expert.
