Latest update on our Allison

Greetings
Many of you have been e mailing and asking about Allison, i finally have an update for you.. her BIG surgery was 3 weeks ago today, i think my previous e mails and the update she wrote in her own words have been pretty explanatory.. her courage and mindful approach to seeing each day through to the BEST of her ability have been the hallmarks of this arduous journey..hard to believe it's been 10 months already..sometimes it seems like 10 years..each day has had it's own hurdles, many of which you have read about..so, where does she stand now in her recovery... well, there is a little blip following this most recent surgery, Allison has an infection in her rectum area where the 8 cm tumor was removed... after a C T scan this past Monday, the infection was discovered..Allison had been experiencing serious pain for about 10 days..she is now on antibiotics...Cipro and Flagel .. she will have another scan next Wednesday and have a drain inserted next Wednesday to remove the infection fluid if the infection has not decreased markedly... hopefully, the meds will do their job and she can continue to recover, get stronger, and prepare for her, hopefully, last scheduled surgery this coming December.. this is a "day by day" journey and we and she have appreciated your continued support, personal encouragement, prayers, gifts of so many types,your thoughtful questions as to what Allison might "need", if you have a "magic" wand, that would be great..you have sent her so many inspiring notes and it brings a bright spot to her day each and every time... it has been almost a full year since Allie has been able to work, your financial contributions to Allie have been greatly appreciated in assisting Allie with normal living expenses, not covered medical expenses, etc.etc..etc.a good friend of Allison's set up her "Gofundmeallisonherf" site. simply Googling this will take you to her link., Allison has posted 6 updates of her journey, 2 updates include photos of her at various stages of her journey and many of you have asked that i include her home address again so that you may reach her directly so once again, here is her home address Allison Herf 3429 Ray Street, San Diego, Ca.,92104-4232..she appreciates all of your "well wishes", we ALL thank you for your continued support, hopefully, my next update will report more forward movement to wellness for Allison !!!
