I set out early one morning and took my ground hog rifle-- Rem 700 25.06 with me.. It was on the passenger seat muzzle down in the floor. I tried to close the bolt as I drove and even had my head phones on.. I do not remember a sound but -instantly my truck was filled with dust and it was trying to me off the round to the right.. The rifle had discharged destroying the right front tire. Great. So as I resumed my trip I took the tire with me, stopped at the CO-OP and told them to replace the tire and I would get it later. So when later came, I stopped at the CO-OP to get my tire and the service manager came and apologized for its the destruction. Next a district manager apologized for the destroyed tire and that the tire would be free-- No NO It was my fault. Well what happened? Well I did not want to tell that-- so just trust me --no we will give you the new tire- so I kept arguing that it was my fault but did not want tell them it was an accidental discharge- So they did let me pay 10.00 for the new tire. I have never worked so hard to pay for something
