S&W Model 29 Question
I have an older Model 29, a 29-3 to be exact. Were the -3 models the ones that were beefed up a bit and made stronger, or is this still one that should see only 240-255 gr. factory loads? The gun is literally in mint condition and looks like it left the factory yesterday. I walked into the gun store many years ago, they had it, I wanted it and walked out the door with it. It's only been shot a few times, I thought the wrist breaking, bone jarring recoil I had heard so much about was over vastly rated by the people who talked about it, it's actually pretty easy to shoot, but honestly, it's only ever seen 240 gr. factory loads. Never shot anything bigger in it because I never needed to. If I need to shoot anything bigger now I'll take my Super Blackhawk or my .454 Casull.
