we can convert a 44 to 445 SM. The 357 Magnum 1894 would be the only one that could be converted as the other models bolt face are already too large for the 357 Max rim. So we shall see.

GUNSMITH CONVERTED A 336 .44 MAGNUM TO .444 MARLIN. REPORTED TO WORK FINE. SMALLER AND HANDIER THAN THE FACTORY .444 MARLIN.

I have had a couple and do like it very much but pushing it to .35 Remington...Why. It's a great pistol round. Had Ruger and contenders. Killed a few deer.
Now a 460 S&W would be handy. I have 44-336.
