was in Florida every old fart wanted either a 50-70, 225 Winchester, 30-40, 303 British 22 Hornet, 44-40, 32 Win. Spl, 30 Carbine,250 Savage, 257 Roberts,300 Savage,9.3 X 72 and probably a lot of others that I can't think of right now. We bought out a lot of estates down there and there were some really amazing and unusual rifles and handguns in those estates. And like a dummy, I didn't hang on to them. Lots of drillings and I did hang on to quite a few of them, some Cape Guns also. When the double rifle and drilling craze hit a few years back I was offered way more than I had in them and sold them. The only one I miss was an old pre war German drilling with the bottom barrel 9.3 X 74, the right side 16 gauge barrel I put a Kreighoff 22 Magnum insert in it and the left side shotgun barrel I left as 16 gauge. .
I had a Caribou hunt up in Quebec/Labrador in '90 or '91 and no handguns allowed there so I brought my drilling. I took my 2 Caribou with the 9.3 X 74, an Arctic Fox with the 22 mag barrel and several Ptarmigan with the 16 gauge barrel. Drillings can be great guns if you get one of the good ones and in a caliber/gauge that are available.
