1956 SAA groove diameter?

I haven't got it in my hands yet, and need to order bullets from Montana Bullet Works. I believe it should be .454", but i don't remember when or if Colt changed to .451".
Mine was about that year .. not sure but it was close

the bore was .451 and the cylinder throats were .456 .. I shot the bullets at cast diameter and it worked fair. They were around .454. It was never a target gun. Bullets that were bore diameter shot horribly.

It's the cylinder throat diameter that is most important. Can't believe how bad my memory is. I'd completely forgot about the mismatch cylinder throats vs barrel groove diameter in the 45LC. Probably run .454 diameter bullets although groove diameter was changed to .451 in 1956 when the second generation came out.
In other words, if I get a 38 caliber cylinder, Gary can make the holes the correct size so it will shoot well...i hope.
