It's the cylinder throat diameter that is most important. Can't believe how bad my memory is. I'd completely forgot about the mismatch cylinder throats vs barrel groove diameter in the 45LC. Probably run .454 diameter bullets although groove diameter was changed to .451 in 1956 when the second generation came out.
In other words, if I get a 38 caliber cylinder, Gary can make the holes the correct size so it will shoot well...i hope.
