Stretched frames?

Theres a post from 16sept18 on stretched frames from hot loads.
Does that show up as a gap in the breech or is that from poor welding and mediocre work manship?

older Contenders and they were from shooting extremely hot loads. Had nothing to do with bad workmanship nor poor welding. A small gap is no problem, especially with rimmed cases. Rim thicknesses vary a lot these days and getting a barrel to lock up flush is a real job sometime. We have a 30-30 factory barrel in here now to run out to 30 GNR and I can easily get a business card in between the face of the action and the rear of the barrel. And that is before we even start to rechamber it to 30 GNR.

Yeah i can see that. If it's tight, edge to edge it it wouldn't close.
Where did the old contender stretch at? St the hinge pin?
Do you have a TC-G2 in stock?
the ones I saw were stretched on the sides of the action.

You could look at the flat of the action and see ripples in it. It would also open up while shooting with even a mild load.
The 2 stainless G-2 frames we had earlier this week are sold.
