in 2 years you are dead. I had several friends that retired at 65. The next 2 years of their lives they said were the most boring of their lives, and within 3 years both had let themselves go downhill and were dead. No thanks.

Well after 30 years in police/sheriff/fire/EMS dispatch I am ready to move along. I plan on doing something to make money and keep busy. Just need a little reward for not shooting anyone

Been retired from the San Mateo Sheriff’s office 21 years. I did get bored after six months so I started a Security Guard Company as a diversion. That took off and I had to hire good managers to run it so I could retire again. Heck, now between shooting and collecting there does not seem to be enough time to get everything done. I really enjoy the old military rifles from the late 1800’s through WWII. I enjoy taking them apart down to the smallest pins, screws and springs. I don’t usually have too many parts still on the bench left over..

Plan on substitute school teaching, sub school nursing, and maybe high school football reffing. Along with shooting and stuff. If I get bored, maybe if a part time job doing something fun.

Not enough hours in the day most days. Got a mule , a horse and 3 grandkids who are home schooled. Along with guns and ammo and a couple of friends who can always use a hand I manage to keep pretty busy. All in your attitude!

I enjoy what I am doing. Coming up with new series and new cartridges is what I get off on. If I was retired that would be out. Even if I should semi retire and sell the business to one of my guys I would still want to work. Nuff said.

who have had that problem, I've been retired 10 years and that is the reason I've been able to go to the HHC, Africa, etc. I didn't know you or any of the Misfits, before I retired. For some, it is great.

and counting. I'm busier than when I worked. Go to the gym often, walk my dogs twice a day, chase the wife once in a while. It's been my one goal in life to not work, and I am there and very motivated. Just moved last week. 75 miles from the last one. To Sierra Vista, Az.

As has been said, always busier than I ever was, it's all in the plan. My last 5 years working I took time to think it through and there is never a dull moment.
But, have known more than a few who did not have a well thought out plan and literally got bored to death, as you said, tragic way to end.

probably half of the Trail guns we have built were on the smaller 357 Magnum Blackhawk frame and a couple on the new flattop frame. The rest were on the Single Six. On that one we can't do the 401 or the 38-40 as the frame and loading gate is too small for the rim. So it is according to which one he wants.
Hmmm... A TG on a Flattop Midframe sounds interesting...
