let their kids have a dog. They say they don't want their kids to get attached to a "dumb animal". My thought on that is there should be a special place in Hell for parents that won't let their children have a dog. I can't imagine us not having a dog (make that dogs) around here. We have 2 dogs that have just been bred and I can't wait for the little shitbirds to be born. Christmas puppies. Most of our pups are sold before they are even born but at least we get 10 enjoyable weeks with them before they go to their new home.

I put my 13 yr old Chesapeake down my self he hated the vet ,it was dang hard

of leaving Africa after my wife died was leaving our dog. She was such a good friend to my wife ... protected her .. comforted her ... gave her companionship when I was gone. Losing my wife and then having to leave the dog that was my friend for 6 years was hard. I will be happy to see her again. When I went back last year she seemed so happy to see me. About broke my heart again when I left.
