Hunting lodge. Been trying to reach them for a few days left messages no return calls. Got the final payment on my cc for the complete work as seen on my monthly statement. So I guess it’s done. Normal procedure for them ? Thanks gents
Normal-my Sika from 2017 was supposed to be 8-10 months-stil

that normally in September Grady gets 35 to 40 heads to taxidermy. Last month he got 1 head to do. So I believe he is going to come crashing down off his high horse pretty quick here if he plans to stay alive.
This post is full of shit

The Wilsons Are Family and they run the business the way they want. If you don't like it shut your mouth and go somewhere else.
Thanks Charlie

It’s a bison that my daughter took last October. The cc has to be paid in 10 days or so if I don’t here from them ,I am calling everyday and leaving messages, I will ask the cc to hold payment. I have lost money and trophys due to non delivery of trophies in the past with other taxidermists. So I’m feeling a little hinky....
to be honest that is typical. Alan is highly pissed at Grady

Grady got a contract to do mounts for Cabelas or some big company, so he doubled his prices and his timeframe is forever. Almost every mount he has done for me has split at the mouth and eyes. That big brown & white Watusi bull I shot, they ruined the cape. I'll never have any work done by them again.

it is a touchy situation. It is a family business

and they are brothers so Alan really can't tell Grady he can't come and do business in the lodge, even though the lodge is solely Alan's.But Grady's greed really bothers Alan.
Those pictures are worth a thousand words.

I'll probably never afford a hunt let alone to mount one. Sorry you guys have problems getting them completed. It happened to me a few years ago with a bob cat mount with a black cat squirrel in his mouth. He said he ruined it something like his freezer went down.. I think he sold it for more that I was having the work done for.
That was the last one I have attempted to have done.
Years ago he did my javelina.

He did a good job on it but, lost the scull for the euro mount. Tuck him a few months to come up with one. He finally got it to me. It was smaller than mine. The teeth didn’t match the pictures I have so I know he lost or sold mine. he never admitted he screwed up. But he did give me a $100 gift certificate because of it. So I never made a fuss.
Hmmm....Gradys done a shoulder mount and pedestal mount

boars, a shoulder mount Spanish goat and Marino sheep, a half mount aoudad and a full mount muntjac since about 2012. They seem to be holding up ok so far. The wait times were a year, the muntjac a bit longer.
If his prices have increased to crazy, I’d go elsewhere. He has a new shop and has been doing a lot of shows. I saw on Instagram that he has a Cabelas contract and a lot of mounts.
Sounds like he’s found a new sugar daddy. He’d better be careful, steady business from a successful preserve is gold to a taxidermist......
