the 450 GNR, a big record book Kudu, running away and a Texas heart shot put him down. Back then I believed all the BS stories about Africa hunting and was shooting 500 grain solids and 510 grain soft points in the 450 in a Contender because the "expert" African hunters said I needed a 500 grain solid. And back then all we had was a Contender and no muzzle brake, so a 500 grain solid was about all the fun I could stand.
