Of course it would have been nice to have picked it up last week or so. But Roman's head is ready from HHC 2017 and on the way. They said they were shipping out a bunch of stuff this week FWIW

Piss poor service. Sika promised in 8-10 months from October 2107. Called three weeks ago for $, provided CC and promised it would go out that Friday 10-12-17. Has not been shipped yet while they had payment weeks ago. Simple remedy-ram head will be the last business he will ever have from me. Possibly too big for his britches and no communication about reason for five month delay or why not shipped when promised.

I only have a dozen or so trophies all in.

For the most part from varied Taxidermists they have done well. My Wilson mounts are OK, one hog had 4 teeth fall out in the box but I glued them back in. Might have been rough shipping. One duck head is popping off from a mount, not really my favorite anyway but hey, I paid good money for it. My worst experience is from a guy in Missouri, about 7 hrs. away near St. Louis. My Red Stag is all mangy looking and has shrunk.

On my shrunk mount it's cracked the nose and around the eyes. Looks so bad I'm tempted to skuttle the whole thing and rig some euro mount thing or just save the horns. Taxidermists as a stereotype are odd folks. You won if you ever see it again, period. Kudos if it's within a year or so. The Y-O used to ream me on shipping, but we picked up a couple while we were there. The quality was OK. Except one time they got the wrong phase color Sika cape on Doug's horns. But they made a concession of some sort.

Very difficult dealing with some guys, it can certainly be a crap shoot.

Could it be a lost art

I have friends that have mounts from the 60's and they are still all good. I would think the humidity and temperature would have a long term effect.

I have only mounted the horns and tail feathers of turkeys. I would rather just have the pictures since it is too much trouble taking care of them.

Hopefully daughters Bison

trouble with sloppy work. And Grady's work has been sloppy at best. The bad part is it trickles down to Alan even though he had nothing to do with it.
