If I am hunting I never notice the weight of my handgun. For years I carried an Auto Mag on my hip and never noticed it. But a daily carry is different. I want a gun that I don't even realize it is there. And as far as recoil with the lighter guns, if I should ever need to use it the Adrenalin will be pumping so fast I probably wouldn't even notice the recoil.
