Can you all convert a marlin 1894 to 480 ruger?

action and changing pretty much all the parts. The rim of the 480 is too wide to go thru the action, and the bolt face is way too small for that wide bolt, plus there are some other issues. Sorry. We were able to convert the 1895 to 500 S&W and are doing some thinking about other cartridges but other than the 500 S&W, nothing to talk about yet.

Thank you for the reply. An 1895 would be nice... If you decide to start offer that in other calibers please consider 480/475 linebaugh.

Consider a 1894 Marlin in 45 Colt. Properly loaded 45 Colt is a very powerful cartridge. If you don't reload look at Garrett cartridges.
I have one in 429 GNR and it's a thumper...

and can count the centerfire rifles I own on one hand but my Alaskan Classic in 429 GNR is a real winner. The 429 GNR loaded up right with the right bullet will take anything on this continent, including the big bears.
it doesn't have anything to do with deciding to do it.

It entails re-working the interior of the rifle. Marlin said it couldn't be done. They took a lot of orders for the 1895 in 475 before they realized they couldn't get it to work. An embarrassing situation for them I am sure. My guys worked on re-designing the Marlin 1895 to the 500 S&W for several weeks before we got it to work reliably.
I have one of my guys working on the conversion of the 475 and 500 Linebaugh in the 1895. Whether we can get it to work is yet to be found. I will post it here if we do.
