The 45-70 is a bit longer and the 50-70 considerable bigger around. Obviously, powder capacity is the same.

was shorter still at just under 2.25" with blown straight(er) sides and a brief shoulder and neck. It is not visually evident on this 100 yr.+ old example (I got from Gary) but there. I made mine from .348 Win. brass and used 300 gr. .510 GNR pistol bullets, Trail Boss powder.

once they become available again we will get back to them. I still have plenty of dies for both calibers. I have .577 and .620 blanks ordered and back ordered for well over a year.
