in Arkansas than just bears, they are in the midst of The Multi- Million Spider Orgy as I write this.

It's just outside Jonesboro in the N.E. part of the state. I'm not too scared of spiders except Black Widows, Recluse, and those cousins of the Funnel Web/ Trap Door.

I always heard Grandaddy Longlegs are terribly poisonous but their fangs are too short to penetrate skin. Some boys on a prank put some on their teacher's sandwich (5-6) which he ate, to their delight. The toxins durn near killed the poor old boy! My normally sweet and passive daughter will claw right through you to escape one!

Could that guy in the photo corner a bear more dramatically?! Not me!!!

I've seen my wife haul off and slug a horse that put it's ears back and bared it's teeth at her, yet she's incapacitated by a spider no bigger than a fingernail, that makes a lot of sense. A couple of years ago we vacationed in Islesboro, ME. Googled it and found there's "unusually large" wolf spiders in parts of the island. She wasn't happy, we never saw any. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Up-island_spider

On purpose or by mistake

Almost makes you wonder if this bear was stumbled upon on purpose or by mistake and how does someone sit there and photograph something like that with no quick escape... lol thinking about it kind of gives me that feeling you get when you just passed a cop at 60mph in a 35 and he pulls out behind you.

Look close. The Bear has been collected

of tagging and count during the den season. Don't have a clue where the pict was taken, but it looks like some of that may have been taking place. Still a cool photo, not many folks get that close up and personal.
