a gun. The ATF has added some things to the 4473. Your given address must match the address on your driver's license. Plus we now have to give the driver's license number when we call it in to the NICS check. So if you have moved recently and your address and driver's license don't match, you might get a new driver's license before you buy another gun. If you have a CCW you are exempt from all this. Just another reason to get your CCW. Plus with some new liberals now elected and their push for gun control, now would be the time to get your CCW if you don't already have one.

4473 still requires your DL number

when the phone is answered a recording asks you if the address on the DL and the 4473 match and they ask you to verify on citizenship. This is new and just started recently. If the address on the DL and the address on the 4473 don't match we can't sell them a gun.

So the CCW doesn’t really control....

the 4473 with a CCW. You just fill out the normal 4473 and that is it. No phone call.

I don't know how other states are but in AZ if you have a

CCW, you fill out the 4473 and walk out. We have no waiting period, nor do we have a limit on the amount of guns you can buy. The NICS check does not ask how many guns you are buying. The 4473 has 4 blanks to be filled in so you can fill them in and fill out another 4473 at the same time or as many as you like. Then we call you in and you walk out the door, or if you have the CCW you fill out the 4473 and walk out the door.

Same way in Nc.
