He's tried left handed but it is not working for him. He's even trying to shoot right handed but left eye'd. (No jokes) I tried to get him into handgun hunting, problem solved.

On a whim I gave him a scope to phone adapter. It didn't fit my phone. He's going to try it this weekend. Like on Youtube how guys film a kill shot on animals. Dave Manson has a great phone video of bullet trails to a 100 yd. target using the same device. I think it was on his spotting scope though.

My bud is going to try shoot off the bench watching the phone screen! If it does not fly off it might just accidentally work.

Great idea! Pray it works!!

With a red dot the alignment is not critical

The dot doesn’t have be in the center. Where ever the dot is, is the point of aim. And it’s designed for both eyes open. It would be fairly natural to shoot right handed with only one eye, regardless of witch eye.

He's rifle shooting and wants magnification

for distance, 100-200 yds. I had this thing laying around for an iPhone 6s which he has. I have a 7 Plus that won't fit, and an old 4. Those adapter things cost around $90! My Boss gave it to me since I'm always taking photos using the microscope by holding my phone up to the eye piece (for our website). It works for me.

If he can use it great. I'm taking him Roman's G2 13" in .30 GNR to look at and maybe try. It has a 2-7X Burris and can shoot store bought .30-30's. He can make me some brass. Maybe it will hook him. A good excuse to give Handgunning a try.

Actually mine was a "Phone Skope" brand

That I was not overly impressed with. It's phone specific as to the holder and then you have the adjustable adapter, 2 pieces, that part I did not like. The one in the photo looks more universal and adaptable. I might look into it since I'm committed to this newer phone now. It might be fun. Some adapt to the GoPro too.

I miss understood, thinking handgun

Shoot left handed until it was second nature. Then switch to a hunting rifle.
