Question for Gary and ALL the Misfits!

I’m home alone this week so have been playing with all my gun toys, books and manuals. I have been reading Gary’s Reloading book and found a couple sentences where Gary has said, “ The round is still effective”. My question is, do the many animals taken become immune to them or does the round just expire? Just a Sunday, home alone question to get all you folks up and about!opinions
