Every Monday through Friday Iris feeds any child 12 years old or younger who comes to the base. Each child gets a hot meal of rice and beans and clean water to drink. They average about 400 children per day. For many of these this is The Only meal they eat that day. And many of them do not eat it all, but will put some of it into a plastic bag or container and take it home to share with the family. It is quite common for little kids 5 or 6 years old to have a young brother or sister on their back.

The students held a "festa" in memory of Mama Twyla and welcoming me to Mozambique. They played games, danced, shared their thanks and then we had a really nice chicken dinner. This video was after the fun ... everyone wanting photos with the old man.

Sunday worship African style. This is in the village of Meize where the goats are. I was happy to see the goats looking healthy and well taken care of. It's neat when something you helped start keeps going.
