Driving thru the Louisiana Bayous today. Unusual for me...

Strictly an offshore captain. But, the offshore vessels are built far inland. So we weave and turn thru the Cypress Trees until we get there. Beautiful, sunny day here and the trees are filled with Bald Eagles feeding on the fish below...

a while back at a conference for a few days. They said a barge had hit one of the tow bridges linking the area to New Orleans. The damage had closed the bridge, creating an even more unusual traffic situation. I often looked at the canals thinking THAT is the way to get around here!

A Molasses truck had crashed on the only remaining bridge and caught fire one day we were there. Really screwed traffic.

Not everyone gets to too around like that, enjoy and thanks for sharing.
