Ok guys, need to know if you 256 Falcon shooters have any favorite bullets you use. I need to start loading for mine now that I got the dies.

try a couple of different bullets to see what

when running IMR-3031 is it wise to run a magnum primer or just a large rifle primer I read your post above on the imr-3031 powder and primer. thanks

I have found the 3031 powder burns better with the magnum

I have not taken game with it but we have their 7mm and 6.5mm, and .375 Accubonds. I'd stay away from Remington Core-Lockts, they seem to very soft. But for casual shooting and powder testing they are a value. We had problems with 100 gr. .264 cal. versions.

I've used the Nosler Ballistic Tips in 7mm to great effect on deer type critters. I'm sure the .257 Versions are good. I have not fired them in the Falcon but in my .25-35 I loaded some 80 gr. FPGC bullets I made, using Lil'gun and AA1680 powder. Velocities were 2100-2500 fps in a carbine.

running the nosler 115 grain BT bullet#25115 and the Nosler115 BST bullet#51050. Powder Reloader 15 primer large rifle. I bought some 110 accubonds but haven't tried them yet
