You don;t really need them for faster powders that are easy to ignite like Unique, Bullseye, Longshot. It may even spike pressure a little. I noted a 10% gain in FPS in the .510 GNR revolver with one powder, so it does something. So I'd not go totally crazy but for slower burn rates heck yeah.
