Larry Mulberry if you remember him. I brought in tow, some new people in from Arkansas, to HHC. Larry was a Youth Minister at the church my Mom went to. Really nice fellow. He had a rough life from how I knew him but you would have never known from his positive attitude. A Godly outlook, always, really inspiring.

Some years ago Larry's two teenage sons were in an automobile accident and both killed. They have an older teen girl that basically lost it after that, and disappeared for almost two years. All their kids suddenly "gone". If anyone had a right to get depressed and be negative about the world it was Larry. But he resolved into his faith and the strength it afforded, he would see his sons again, he would explain to me. Not the faintest hint of doubt, you could see it in his eyes. He kept praying about his daughter too. After almost 2 yrs. with no contact at all she called from AZ and wanted to come home. Lived on the street all that time to finally come home safe. That was a few yrs. ago.

Earlier this year Larry told me he was diagnosed with Liver Cancer. I would tell in his voice he didn't have as much fight in him as was his norm. This week he passed on to be with Jesus, and he is now reunited with his sons. A crappy sounding latter end life. If he heard that from me he would really sold me, I do know better. It takes lots of inner strength to live through that. A man can't do it alone, Larry's testimony. It comes from faith, truth, and serving God. So till we all get there ourselves, remember Larry, and God Bless Larry's wife and daughter. Enjoy your family and the blessings we are given. Merry Christmas.

I hope and pray I make the crossing as a good example of faith when my time comes. " Let me die the death of the upright, And let my end be like his!" (Num. 23:10)

We lose them here and the empty space is never filled. But it is not the end.

May God and through his son Christ

give you some comfort at this time. The older I get the more I think of death as crossing over to be with the ones that have gone on before me and are already in heaven. This past month has been rough on the class of 1963 as we lost two more of our members. It seems like we get close to people and then they are gone and we wonder why we have been left behind especially since the other person was truly a child of God with a faith that was childlike as Christ commanded. The misfits have held a special place in my heart every since I first stumbled upon Gary's website. The first HHC that I went to I met people like you, Puffy, Blake, Bill Firman, and others and felt like it was family. I could finally get to talk guns and hunting and outdoors without the rolling of eyes that we all see when the kids hear us talk about a passion that they will not or don't want to participate in and we just have to keep it bottled up inside. I hope your friend Larry got to feel that way about the people he met at the HHC this year. I am only sorry I could not attend and get to meet him. I hope God continues to bless all of the misfits and keep everyone safe and whole this Christmas time and in the future. Have a Happy Christmas with your families and God bless all of you.

I am sorry for your loss, prayers lifted up for you and your
