a new 22 Magnum from Rock Island Arms
Most of you know I am a big fan of Rock Island 1911s. A lot of guys bad mouth the Rock Island 1911s because they are made in the Philippines and because they are idiots and don't know their asses from 3rd base. For several years we used their frames on our custom guns because they were perfect. The holes were drilled perfectly and in line side to side. Parts dropped in without having to do a bunch of afro engineering. All in all they were as close to perfect as you could get. They were and are a lot better than a couple of American made 1911s that cost twice as much. They give you all the bells and whistles in their base price that the American made guns charge you for.
Anyway they have a new 1911 in 22 Magnum that has really become my favorite 22 Magnum semi auto. The gun is smooth as silk and accurate too. They were smart and used the floating chamber like the original Colt Ace 22 LRs used. This moves back on recoil and helps the gun function. The gun is super smooth and functions perfectly. And they are priced right. If you have wanted a 1911 in 22 Magnum, check out the Rock Island Arms. There is not another on the market that will compare.
