If I remember correctly this happened in FL. Several people were arrested for illegal bear killings after it was found out they would use dogs to tree a black bear and when the bear came out of the tree a pack of dogs were allowed to maul the bear to death. Some bears even had their faces ripped off by the dogs. This was done for??? The dog handlers enjoyment. When arrested they said they were
