daughter Allison and her fight with cancer, here is the latest update from Charlie...

Happy New Year to you and all of your family !!! Allie and I drove back to San Diego this past Monday....Allie had an MRI on Tuesday and yesterday met with Dr. Clary., the liver surgeon. He thinks the time is right to go in and remove the cancers on her liver, he told her , he is expecting to remove 25% of her liver and maybe the gall bladder if it is worrisome at all.. he said he expects she will be in the hospital for 5-7 days... Patti flies over on the 12th and the surgery is scheduled for 7a.m. on the 14th..I wll go over on the 17th for the weekend.. I was very impressed with Dr. Clary's explanation of what he intends to do during the surgery and that she will have maybe 2 drains immediately following the surgery but that he would expect them to be removed before she leaves the hospital, Patti will stay until the 24th when Allison's sister, Lindsay, will come for 4-5 days and Allie and Patti are at her house back from the hospital..
