everyone just copied the way he did things after that. The fellow that developed the XP-100 for Remington was said to be a lefty also. When Savage came out with their version with the bolt on the left side some gun writer that was doing an article on it mentioned that the Remington XP was designed by a lefty. Whether that was true or not I have no idea.
