This was my dad's most prized possession. He was only 17 in '49 so it was sent to my grandfather in this "cod box". My dad carried it on most all his buck hunts and along a lot of creeks to fish. He took a fall in the rocks years before I was born and lost the red eagle. The clouds of non-blue are due to deer blood that didn't get cleaned off quick enough while in the back country on horseback pack trips.
