The .30-30 does not need to blow the sidewalls out as much. I find once fired .30-30 form just fine. Several of my friends save them for me after deer season.
They look goofy with a double neck but form fine. The .256 Falcon too, it's the only way I can form them without neck splits. A factory .25-35 will blow the shoulder. It shoots fine but ruins the case at the neck. They become .300 GNR or something else after that.

Is it better to form 7gnr from 30-30 or 7-30 waters? (nm)

less hassle with 7X30 but either will do just as well

- I prefer to just FL size .30-30 in the 7 GNR die. - WB, 2019-01-14, 20:53
