Ruger M77 Mark II Trigger ???

I lurk here all the time.
I don't post much, Because most
of my questions are answered by
reading, learning and keeping my mouth shut.
I have four firearms that Gary built for me,
happy with all.

I want a replacement trigger on my .223
I don't want to ship it. (Too much hassle)
I just want a 2.5-3 pound all around
great trigger.

Suggestions would be very appreciated.

Ruger 77 MKII. Takes a little bit of stoning to adjust the safety correctly. Not hard to do just takes a little time.

Inexpensive and fast alternative is getting a lighter

trigger spring. I have gotten some from Ernie the Gunsmith off Ebay. I am not sure if he has a Varmint and a Hunter grade spring but they are about $7.00 and install in less than a minute in the MKII and Hawkeye. Still have a slightly gritty Ruger trigger(my latest stainless Hawkeye) but you could polish the engagement surfaces if you have the knowledge and it would be very smooth, crisp and lighter. They also seem to get smoother as you use it. If you are looking for a quick solution that brings the trigger to about the 3# range + or - this is a good way to go. Maybe others out there that offer similar springs but he offers a good selection of popular trigger springs. Just another idea.
