I rarely if ever have trimmed handgun brass ... but higher pressure rifle brass seems to be a different story. Awhile back I bought a couple hundred once fired 30-30 cases. I sorted them out by headstamp, sized and deprimed them, cleaned them up and primed all of 'em. Then I remembered case length and started measuring them .. found the lengths varied by quite a bit. So I set up my case trimmer with the 3-way head and began. Cranking the cutter by hand is a pain but my old electric drill was handy so ....

Yes. There are power case trimmers available. But this one works just fine for what little case trimming I do. It's old but so am I.
I am just happy I don't have to do this very often.
