where I will be allowed to carry on Govt. property and many other places currently restricted. It only costs about $150 and really streamlines any ID inquiries too. I was told to prepare 3-magazines of ammo for the all day class. It's mostly law and active shooter situations from what I hear. Obviously, some hands on shooting!
Typically I carry a G30s (10 shot) for serious carry. The S&W Shield is in the same class and feels better in the hand. However this needs to have a little fun in it for me. 9mm is cheap and I shoot it well. Paper targets will not be shooting back and I'll be popping plinking FMJ. I am thinking of packing my FN HP. It really feels good in the hand and sounds like a good time. I'm certain not to be like everyone else in class. I have a good carry holster for it too. I'd love to take my S&W 686+ but some programs in AR discriminate against revolver use in license prowess criteria. If you use a wheelgun you can't carry an auto, but the reverse is fine. Silly policy. Sean's Shield is bound to be a great packing rig. If I didn't already have the G-gun I'd probably get one myself. The triggers on all those guns take some getting used to.
