This round but they seem to be rather underpowered or understated when you look at similar loads by weight of bullet and powder for the 310GNR or the 338GNR. Similar loads in these 2 cartridges run 400 to 250fps faster. As the book said this was under development at the time of writing is there new updated data available. I am starting with 150 grain Hornady bullets. Your help is appreciated.

I loaded the .338 GNR to the gills and got a 200 gr. to 2600 in a 14"+2 barrel. The 8mm is dandy too, up to around 200 gr. bullets. There may be some a little heavier, 225? I think Hornady used to make them. The 8mm rifle bullets seem to perform perfectly in the handgun application. My .338 GNR was a little hard pressed to expand slugs designed to withstand the rigors of the .338-378 Wby. and Lapua! More conventional, old school, rifle bullets did best for me.
