they have a curved, convex, chrome plated follower. Aftermarket is typically a flat steel follower like a G.I. 1911. Factory mags are pricey, $35-50, but work. Some aftermarket mags might not be as good. I'd research the net for which one works best to try.
They are great little pistols, just needing personalizing. You make me want to get mine back!

I ordered 3 and they are great. 2 were very lightly used and 1 was like brand new.
I haven’t shot mine much yet but ran 4 mags worth of 4 different brands (115, 124, 147 and 85 grains). Worked flawlessly.
