Was the the BX this morning and svoped out the gun counter and was surprised to see they had one of the new 911's from Springfield. It is thinner than the Kimber Micro 9. Handling it felt a little small in my hand and very light. Recoil will probably be a bit harsh but for $500 I might just have to get one.

I agree....

I had gotten the Kimber Micro 9 before the 911 came out. I have held one and for me the Kimber feels better. I enjoy shooting it. It doesn’t seem bad at all to me, maybe after buying so many of Gary’s big revolvers my judgement is skewed. I also looked at the Sig P238 and it didnt feel as good either. Everyone is different.

I want a smaller carry gun and considered the Micro 9 but find the small safety hard to manipulate. It's nowhere as easy as the thumb safety on my Ruger SR1911 .45 Commander so I still carry it, even though it is a bit heavy.

personally I would go with the lightweight Ruger

Commander in 9mm over all the guns you mentioned. It is a better and more dependable gun in every way.
