And transition into the barrel make the difference. I've shot some 45 Convertible guns where the ACP cylinder out shot the Long Colt cylinder.

I've errored in a couple of my Trail Gun builds. Not adding logical cylinders and throats not being specified for my intentions.

Have two going back to Gary for alterations. No harm though, It's all about learning. Gary has gone into largely uncharted territory on some of these builds.

I've seen several 41 Specials built on the Old Model Single Six. But, for me, the 40 S&W and 10mm are far better choices. The bullet selection is immense and they expand at Trail Gun velocities. Dual cylinder guns can be made to double ammo possibilities. Not even to mention they can easily be built on New Model Frames...
