Ok. As I sit here I have had a double shot of Knob Creek. The main reason is that I am sick as a dog. Caught a sinus infection-head cold last Thursday and not getting much better I may call in sick and see the Dr.

Anyways. I have taking a liking to some of the finer spirits of the distilled trade.

If you like whiskey, the Tin Cup brand is actually very good. Another good brand is High West out of Park City Utah. I bought a bottle because it has an image of a pronghorn antelope on the bottle. One of my favorite game animals

Take as much medicine as you need

I like bourbons, Irish and Scotch. Orefer the 92 and higher proofs. Haven't found a better cold medicine, especially when coughing!

If, when you speak of "whiskey"

if you are speaking of that devil's brew that robs men of their brains, causes them to lose all reason and often commit vile acts, then I am solidly against it!

However, if when you say "whiskey" you are speaking of that magical potion that makes old men young again, magnifies joy, stimulates conversation and relieves the aged of their sorrows, aches and pains, then I am certainly for it!

That is my position on whiskey and I will not compromise it.

Hear tell w/ some lemon, honey,Tabasco fixes stuff?

has alcohol plus sugar in it and a cough suppressant. It lets you sleep and keeps the cough away.

But it tastes bad and costs a lot!

When I was growing up our medicine cabinet was Bayer aspirin, nyquil, mentholatum, camphophenique, pesto bismol and calamine lotion. JT, I know I spelled those wrong. That covered everything. How did we survive??

Oh and gargling with salt water,

memories of whiskey. In the many years I was in radio there were always after concert parties at the Andrew Jackson Hotel in Nashville and the booze flowed freely. When I drink every thing is funny and every woman is available, so there are several things I would like to forget. I will stick to Nyquil.

I met my wife in 1973
