Little quick range report on the Revelation 116

It is basically a cheaped out Marlin M57m. The stock is an unattractive but functional birch, not walnut. No bullseye inbedded in the stock etc. But mechanically it is the same. An all metal and wood gun from yesteryear. Where do all the "hoods" go on these front sights?! Robbers try to sell them on Ebay, for a shock go check!

I cannot see the sights at all, the comb is too high. Benjamin rang the spinner repeatedly but he has the eyes of a hawk. I put a K4 weaver on it to try. Sighted in at 25 yds. I noted the trigger can be wiggled 1/8" to either side, bushing it would do wonders. It feels like a shotgun trigger but you can't predict when the break is so it's usable. The day was terrible for testing, gusting ans swirling wind. The ammo was the 30 gr. that's more like a sharpened round ball in .22, horrible B.C. It was advertised at 2200 fps and the average saw just that. I had some variations but it still shot well (2133 L, 2287 H.). I know the wind and flinch got me on those 2 shots, that's pretty far for a 4X and my eyes. I think the gun will shoot and the ammo does not seem to be a problem. I was impressed for the working man's .22 WMR from the 1960's. It was one of the first guns ever made in .22 WMR, even predates the first Winchester, a pump!
