Boy I don't remember this. Competition Arms Competitor outlined in red. Looks like a cross between a RPM and a Merrill with the 1911 grip and hammer (not the Merrill Sportsman). They also did away with the thumb hold down safety lever. I've never seen one! I bet some old target shooters may remember them.
I had a Competitor outlined in green. They were a rotary "cannon" breach design. I didn't like their spring extractors. I also had a cheaper version called a SSP-89. Magnum Research marketed a version called a "Lone Eagle" too. They were all recalled I think.
Don't look at the 1996 prices, they were sketchy even then. The production data is mostly still useful but tehy did and still do make editing mistakes.
