2020 safari yet but maybe these will help those in about 8 weeks or so on the 2019 hunt also.
This is the lodge we will be staying in..

the bedrooms are in sort of a pod set up, with a main living room and then 3 or 4 bedrooms off that. Each bedroom has it's own bath. Here is the main living room for the pod I stayed in.

and then the bedrooms off that..

Our meals are in a large dining area with tables set in a square that will hold 20 or more hunters and PHs.

We get up around 6, eat a good breakfast and go out hunting, 2 hunters to a PH with his own land Cruiser.

We hunt until around noon, then in for lunch. We rest up a bit and back out for the afternoon hunt. Then back in around 6, eat dinner and then sit around the porch and BS for a couple of hours and off to bed.

This is the terrain you will be hunting in. You will ride in the Land Cruiser until your PH spots a herd of animals and he will check them with his binocs, just as you will be doing also, and if there is a good bull in there, you will go on a stalk. This is where good comfy shoes that cover your ankles will come in handy. Everything there has thorns and low sided shoes will end up getting thorns in your lower legs. Also you will be walking in sand and rocks so again a good pair of well broken in boots will be perfect.

You will see a lot of animals there that you probably wouldn't see anywhere else, at least not in the numbers you will see. There are a million dollars worth of Sables in this pic..
There are 200 Rhinos there, many cows with calves..

and lots of $150,000 bulls..

with all these expensive animals poachers would love to get in there. But there are guards riding motorcycles and trucks around armed with AK-47s looking for poachers. They have a place where they stay off to one side of where you will be staying. They are nice guys, unless you are a poacher.

Those of you looking for Cape Buffalo will find a lot of them in big herds. This bull stood his ground as we drove up, while the rest of the herd ran off. he was protecting his harem.

There are 2 Cape Buffalo in this picture. The one on the left is the big Buff that Alcorn got.

This is my Cape Buffalo coming to meet us..We got out of the truck and met him halfway.

A Cape Buffalo isn't afraid of you or anything about you. He will stand his ground and just stare you down, like you owe him money. This bull made a couple of false charges at the truck before he kept his pride and slowly walked off. But if you get out of the truck, remember, one of you is going to die.

Africa is the greatest adventure you will ever have. Very few people go there once. Most on that 16 hour flight home spend it trying to figure how they are going to go back. The 2020 hunt is tentatively filled up and over 2/3 of them were with me this past April.
