they all think they are better than the folks that read their forums. They have all kinds of special rules like this bullshit I pulled off that forum that rgates posted on here...

Why even have a forum if you only allow certain people who "qualify" to be on the forum. When I decided to have a forum on this web site I told Jim Taylor what I had in mind and he did it perfectly.Exactly what I had in mind. I will shut this forum down before I will change it to the style of those other forums. What a bunch of egotistical pricks.

Interesting posts about guns and hunting, along with a lot of great stories, pictures, and frequent cogent information and advice.

the arrogant and egotistical yoyos running them. Crap, half my posts are not gun related and there is no reason they should have to be. Everything we think about and talk about is not always about guns. One of my best friends on here said a good while back talking about this forum, he said "this is not really a forum, it is a gathering of friends" and hopefully it will stay that way.

completely reworked. Rolled and pleated red and black leather seats, red carpeting,new black paint with red accents, lots of engine work done. Cost him $12000. Then about a month after he got it back he died. His son got the truck and ran an ad in the auto trader. I called him about it. He said the homeowners association was going to fine him several hundred dollars a day if he didn't get "that truck" out of his driveway. They didn't allow "those kind of vehicles" in their little gated community. So I got it at a steal.

I have since had it re-painted as there were some flaking of the paint on the hood.

But the gist of this spiel is that unfortunately there are organizations that have to rule over people they consider beneath them. I couldn't live like that. And like the homeowners associations, most forums tend to be like that.

Community with such a covenant?

here in Portland. I told the Realtor absolutely no houses that are in a HOA. Complete waste of money and freedom.

HOA. Before purchasing a house in our SD a copy of the Protective Covenants and Restrictions is given to the home buyer. They have the option of either agreeing to the covenants or not and not buying a house in our subdivision. No one buys a house and invests hundreds of thousands of dollars and then wants their next door neighbor to put a car on blocks in the their front yard and leave it there. Parking in the front yard, nope...... We do have rules and we are reasonable about them. There are NO anti Flag or anti American clauses in the CR only common sense rules that we all agreed to live by. I have been elected for the past three years and told the HOA that this would be my last year. It is a pain in the ass to listen to people complain and then have to arbitrate between neighbors... So far no one has threatened to burn me out but I am waiting.... Not all HOA's are reasonable so please don't paint them all with a broad brush. We try to maintain the value of the property that all of us have put a lot of money into.

show your political leanings. One of my brothers (the rich one) is one of the most conservative people I know, yet he lives in an area with a HOA. Gets along fine. The nice thing about this country is you still get to choose
