Reeder Custom Guns - Gary what mags do you like for 9mm 1911's?

A friend is having issues with his slide not locking back on a new Colt Gov't. Seems like I saw you like smooth plastic followers a while back?? He said he thought the stock mags had steel followers. Thanks!

are the best. The flat followers tend to give some problems if they are not done exactly right. I have gone from one magazine to another thru the years as the companies change he design of them from time to time. If you can find magazines with followers like these, they are the best...

Ultimate Hi Power with the excellent MecGar mag, bought a spare MecGar and they worked great. Bought another MecGar with a shelfworn box. The shelfworn mag would not lock the slide open-the follower was similar to the new ones but not quite the same, must have been an older version. Thanks Gary!
