Barrel. I would put a small red dot on it.

red dots on hunting guns at all because I am not used to them. On my 8" or 9" barrels I put a low power scope on them. That works fine for me.

To make it a bit less conspicuous you can even throw a bit of camo on it.

They are better at defining the sight picture and precisely placing the shot. On the .327 you just got I would echo the same sentiments as some of the others a 2X, 3X or 4X scope. This works best for me.

Have a 1" 4MOA Black Ultradot that is ok out to about 50yds.

after that it is a 2x Burris, an old 2x Bushnell... then a Burris Fast Fire on a 6" DWA
