WB the Arkansas Dept. Of Health used to operate an Elderly and Disabled Waiver. I did some consulting with them for the State of Alabama Elderly and Disabled Waiver program about 20 years ago. You might contact the local Health Department to see if they are still operating the Waiver. If not then it is probably gonna be Senior Services or Council on Aging. the Waivers actually fall under Medicaid so that might be the quickest to call them first to discuss who handles the enrollment process. One of the key things offered by the Waivers is that each enrollee gets a Case Manager responsible for assisting them with social and medical and in some instances, financial support in order to meet their needs for all activities of daily living.

Thanks, this might help me as well as others.

I'm peddling as fast as I can. One hurdle is Dave is the same age as me, 56-57, so he does not hit the magic "60" some of the programs require.

We've gotten into much gun mischief over the years. Dave is an avid shooter and reloader, caster. He's not messed with wildcat rounds as I have other than 35 Herrett. He has a beloved M27 S&W 8-3/8" that shoots like a rifle. Once we were shooting at a plywood backer from 25 yds. He shot and said "OUCH!" A gas check had dislodged from the bullet, hit the plywood and then Dave in the forehead! He actually caught it as it made a little ding in the skin. lol He's not destitute, has his disability, I'm just finding him a place to live and some programs that can help make him comfortable, live easier. I do not know much about stage IV renal failure but it's not good. Keep us in prayers for our efforts. God has a plan.

shirt. It looks like a mushroom or a midget wiener....

That was MY design! Now I'm self conscious.

BTW Prosecutors can be real pricks! She is wanting to nail Dave to the wall simply because he had possession of a gun on his own property. We'll never know if he actually pointed it, or threatened, they say yes, his statement says NO. But you seemingly cannot brandish a gun in Arkansas even on your own place. I'm hoping to work with the defender to get the felony aggravated assault charges reduced to a 3rd. deg. assault. She still gets a win, and Dave gets an end.

Go see your congressman..teach that bitch a lesson

even take on the legal case..if so the DA may drop the case altogether figuring it wouldn't be worth the expense to face down the NRA.

It's caught up in local politics.

To a PA it seems there are only wins and loses, notches on her gun belt. A man with a gun seems a slam dunk to her. It is actually. Even if Dave takes a plea for a lesser charge she wins. Dave would be stupid to fight too hard, he still gets pinned with something. At his stage a misdemeanor is not really harmful to him. A FELONY can keep him from some programs and even Govt. housing. There was a question on the application, just before pedophiles, "have you ever been arrested or convicted of a violent crime?" Aggravated assault certainly fills the bill even if it's a overzealous initial charge. Hopefully it will not yet show up on the background search.

I thought it was a phallic symbol...
