More private property than not and the elk have learned to stay on the private stuff. Not that they cant be had, but tougher here than other states.

called Kilemique. I would back pack in for 10 days. Never saw another person. Another good spot was Bear Basin out by Pine Creek Resevoir.
I live in nw oregon, there are several herds around here

Weyerhauser has completely scraped the land of trees where I hunt and the animals have moved back further where I cant get to them now. Doesnt matter as I am heading back to Montana.
