Have been wanting to try my Reeder Bearcat 22 Magnum with Hornady Critical Defence ammo. Decided today was that day.

Groups were very good at 12 yards. The tiny pistol is difficult to hold still, but a joy to carry.

Expansion and penetration were both very good. Weight retention was near 100%. Groups were nearly as good at 25 yards. Expansion dropped to .300-.310". This will be my standard ammo in the Bearcat in the future.

Fantastic! Love the pics.

Penetration is 5-8" in dirt, according to whether it's packed tight or not.

None of the other heavy bullet loads expanded when fired from the 4.2" factory barrel.

This wouldn't be my first choice, but not a poor choice for self defense.

Very nice Huey! Lovin' the grips!
