I have a G2 set up in 445 SM carbine configuration. I need higher rings than are currently in the Leupold base. Which way am I supposed to turn them to remove them? I used a dowel and tried twisting in both directions with moderate pressure but they didn't budge. Don't want to mess up the rings by twisting the wrong way.

Question, not Wuestion fat fingers little keyboard
